African Lion 23: Oregon Army National Guard conducts Tank Gunnery with Royal Moroccan Army
More than two dozen Oregon Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team’s 3-116th Combined Arms Battalion conducted tank gunnery training with members of the Royal Moroccan Army in the Tan Tan Training Area, June 8-10 during Exercise African Lion 2023.
Idaho National Guard participates in exercise African Lion 22
Idaho Army National Guard Soldiers with the 1st Battalion of the 148th Field Artillery Regiment and their counterparts from California, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin are training with the Royal Moroccan Army in the northern Sahara Desert as part of African Lion ’22.
Sky Soldier wins title of “Physician Assistant of the Year” in U.S. Army Europe and Africa
VICENZA, Italy – U.S. Army Capt. Christopher Donaghe is a Physician Assistant assigned to 2nd Battalion, 503rd Airborne Infantry Regiment “The Rock” in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. On May 20, Capt. Donaghe officially received the U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) 2021 Physician Assistant of the Year Award. The Commanding General of Regional Health Command Europe and Command Surgeon of USAREUR-AF, Brig. Gen. Mark Thompson traveled to Vicenza to present Donaghe with his well-deserved award for his selfless care of hundreds of Sky Soldiers.
Soldier among first to respond in crash on Italian highway
