U.S. Army Africa participates in African Land Forces Summit 2016

The United States and the United Republic of Tanzania are hosting the African Land Forces Summit 2016 in Arusha, Tanzania, May 16-19.

The United States and the United Republic of Tanzania are hosting the African Land Forces Summit 2016 in Arusha, Tanzania, May 16-19.

This summit is a weeklong seminar bringing together land force chiefs from across Africa for candid dialog to discuss and develop cooperative solutions to regional and transregional challenges and threats.

Senior leaders from African nations will have the opportunity to solidify relationships, exchange information on current topics of mutual interest and encourage cooperation in addressing challenges. The theme for this year’s summit is Building Security in Africa through Cooperation.

Once the summit is complete, U.S. participants will return to their home station.
