Wasmund visits Africa

Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund met with Lt. Gen. Belkhir El Farouk, General Inspector of Royal Armed Forces and Commanding South Zone in Morocco, on August 21-22, 2022, to discuss issues of mutual security interest. The commanding general for the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa visited Morocco and Tunisia as part of his first visit to Africa since taking command of the Italy-based headquarters in July. Senior enlisted leaders from Africa, Europe and the United States gathered for the Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF), part of the African Land Forces Summit (ALFS) 2025, held April 8 and 10 in Accra. SELF runs concurrently with ALFS, and features specialized plenary and breakout sessions for senior enlisted leaders across Africa, the US and Europe, dedicated to topics related to developing and leading enlisted soldiers.
